| - After months of debating whether or not to try Juvederm, and just as many months saving up for it, I decided to try it out. After doing some research and having a consultation, I settled on LaserAway. I went in on Friday, May 2 (because the nurse only worked on Fridays) and had the procedure done - trusting that the nurse knew what she was doing and how much I needed based on the results I told her I was looking for. The appointment went ok, but she only used about half of the syringe that I paid almost $500 for. She told me to give it two weeks and if the results were not what I was looking for, then I should come back in for more.
After 10 days, I knew I wanted more, because it didn't look like anything had been done (and still doesn't)! I made an appointment for Monday, June 2 (because now the nurse only worked on Mondays). Just a few days before the appointment, I received a call from the manager, Jen, stating that my appointment needed to be rescheduled, because the nurse was now only working on Saturdays and the first Saturday they could fit me in was June 28! Yes, almost two months after my first appointment. Without much choice, I made the appointment switch. Right on cue, Jen called and left me a message on June 24 advising that they had to reschedule my appointment again, because NOW the nurse only works on Fridays and Mondays.
I called Jen back the following day and she advised that the nurse's schedule keeps changing, because they are opening two new clinics. My question to her was, "So patients at your Scottsdale location that have already paid in full and not gotten the desired results nor all of the product they paid for, just keep getting pushed around the calendar??" Basically, the answer was sorry, but yes.
After that exchange, I no longer even trust the place. I'm not going to have someone inject my face with something and then not be able to follow up with them for months after. Therefore, I basically wasted $500 (since the first time didn't really do anything and I don't feel comfortable going back now) and a lot of my time rescheduling appointments. They may do an okay job with tattoo and hair removal, but I question the dedication they have to patients going in for injectables. I will never go to LaserAway again ... for anything.
