This hospital used to be small but it is in major expansion mode.
I've been here as both a visitor and as a patient thought the patient side was years ago. From an ER experience, I've never had such a pleasant experience in ER. I walked in, they asked what was wrong, I sat for about 15 minutes and was called back. Of course when you are swelling up and can't breathe because of an allergic reaction to a wasp sting, I guess they take that seriously.
Everyone was helpful, friendly in the ER.
As a visitor, which was just this week, I see the hospital going through major expansion. Apparently they are adding a few floors to the 2-story hospital section. They already added a medical office building and parking deck.
The patient rooms here are laid out better than the ones at CMC-main but this hospital started out at Mercy South so it wasn't originally affiliated with CHS. the bathroom area of the hospital looks more like what you'd find at a hotel. Then there's the hospital room in the back. Without the construction outside, it seems like the rooms are quieter here than many hospitals I've been in.
Also, the nurses we encountered were very friendly and the patient we were visiting said they were very good here . So kudos to all the nurses at CMC-Pineville!
