This place is always surprisingly good with so small a kitchen. Its sort of like a supper club but no lazy Susan's or cheese dip. Ha, remember those? Had the fish fry this time and was given lots of choices. You can get cod with the beer bater or a light dusting batter which I got. Lots of cod and fries and even cold slaw for 13 bucks. My wife got bluegill with some funny pancakes that she loved. She should, that was 18.50. Drinks are reasonable and and the noise isn't too bad. Sure it's tough getting a table at prime time but if you go a little later, say after 7:30 the crowd thins out fast like most Madison places. It's the one place you can usually count on for good food and service in a bar like atmosphere. It's in the campus area so theres a big mix of people and on game nights big crowds so plan ahead. If you've never been there give it a shot. You will not be disappointed.
