| - I have been to Soyo several times now, and each time I go I am never disappointed. From the music they play, to the decor, I love everything about this restaurant!
They start off by bringing you tea and Banchan. I believe the tea is called Boricha, which is Barley tea. I definitely needed to acquire the taste of this tea because at first I wasn't so sure, but now I can't wait to sip on it during my meal each time I go! I've noticed their banchan varies from time to time. The most recent time they served some sort of beef, almost like brisket or something along those lines, and I was so pleasantly surprised!
There hasn't been one meal here that I haven't liked! I have tried their Bul Go Gi (beef with vegetables), both with broth and BBQ style. I have also tried their Jea Yuk Bok Eum (sweet and spicy pork), and it was more on the spicy side than the sweet, so keep that in mind if you are thinking of trying it. I love their Bi Bim Bap, it is a bowl with beef, veggies, rice and an egg on top... mix it with their hot sauce and it is to die for! Boo Dae Jji Gae is my all time favorite to get when I am eating with a group. It is a spicy ramen (extra $2 for the noodles) with kimchi, spam, sausage, tofu and veggies. It is a large portion, so I recommend sharing it with someone or a couple people if you want to try it!
If you are thinking about trying Soyo... think no more and go!!!
