  • I had originally rated this as two stars but due to new developments, I am dropping this to one star. 4 out of 4 of our group have confirmed queasiness 3 hours after eating here. This place is a public health hazard. original review: ------------------------------------------------------------------ This place is a total dive but not unexpected for a hotdog place. Overall, I left feeling hungry. For 2 all beef hotdogs, it is $7. Medium fries are $3.50. Add them together and we are now talking sit-down restaurant prices. I think the price for the volume of food you get is way too high. My stomach is literally growling after eating there 30 minutes ago. Taste? It was a hotdog, 'nuff said. The staff looks pretty scruffy (but friendly) and there is nowhere to sit, but you can stand at a counter in the back where the past 5 diners have left crumbs and droplets of chili to soak through your provided coffee filter hotdog cover. Another kicker is this place is cash only. At least if I am going to spend more than $7 for lunch and leave feeling hungry, I should be able to earn points on my purchase to get a gift card to another restaurant! Well, I'm done with my Americana experiment for the year. Food Quality/Taste = 2 Stars Portion Size Given Price = 1 Stars Price = 2 Stars Service = N/A Experience with Staff = 3 Stars Decor = 1 Stars Clean (yes/no) = not really.
