  • i haven't been here in 10 years! Boy has the place gone downhill. We went on a Wednesday night for a concert. The acustics were great, but the place is just worn out! Parking can be tricky out there in DT Scottsdale, but we got there early and parked right around the corner. The doormen were very friendly, efficiently checking IDs in batches so the line moved fast! We sat in the outdoor area so we could enjoy our cigars. The bartender outside (Stravis? AKA Mike) made me a couple good martinis, but nothing that blew my mind. I mean, what is Martini Ranch without a martini? He was really nice, though. A new friend suggested a Jon Daly (Sweet tea vodka/lemonade - the adult version of an Arnold Palmer). it was really good! The bands were great - Hooray for The Daylights! - and we hung out with some really great people! I had high expectations for this place, but was disappointed after all this time... I would probably go back for a concert if we really liked the band because I think they sound GREAT in there! but the venue is really small, plus they had a big barrier to separate the under 21 from us drinkers.
