I got my nails done with shellac here almost a month ago and JUST went to get it removed. Obviously there was grow-out, but my nails didn't start peeling until a few days ago. That's impressive.
The prices at Sekai are only about $5-10 more per service than the "cheap" places in the city and it seems worth it. Plus, they have a nice chill atmosphere, they give you free water or tea, have a good current selection of magazines, and are friendly without being pushy. Both times I've been in its been really quiet, but I think this has to do with it being relatively new, and not being on a section of the street with a lot of foot traffic. I live in the neighbourhood so you know my lazy bones will be visiting again next time I need my nails did.
If you're wondering why I only gave four stars, its because this place doesn't have those hideous massage chairs that, while an eyesore in most salons, I'm still kind of a sucker for.
