| - Ripley's is a nicely maintained aquarium with lots to see and learn about.
The aquarium has:
-dancing jellyfishes, sea nettles
-grumpy-looking fishes
-backward swimming alewives
-neon-coloured sea horses
-starfishes
-nemo fish, a.k.a. clownfish
-da-da, da-da, I'm-gonna-bite-you-faced sharks and more
I also got to see some rare sea creatures such as leafy seadragons, a blue lobster and fleshy sea pens. An octopus they had on display was huge! You will see so many colourful and interesting-looking fishes, invertebrates and other sea creatures and plants. Now, I wish I could have spotted a sea turtle.
I watched a dive show in which stingrays were attacking the diver for food. One stingray was even biting on his hair, haha.
We were here on a Friday Jazz Night. The jazz group was talented with some of them playing more than one instrument during the night. Fish and jazz were a surprisingly good combination. Smooth jazz tunes made the experience more enjoyable.
Their website says peak hours are between 11 am to 4 pm, but it seems the aquarium gets packed in the evenings as well. I would have guessed that jazz music might deter kids and strollers but no, it was super crowded. Still, it was definitely worth checking out the aquarium especially on the jazz night.
