  • I do not recommend purchasing a car from this place! We purchased a 2004 Impala with 90K miles on January 31 and have had it in their shop about 10 times already... About a week after taking it home, we had to bring it back in for a new bearing. Also had to have both the front and rear windshields replaced because of visibility issues. Shortly after getting the bearing replaced, the steering column started making a clunking noise. It took 3 separate appointments for them to figure out it needed a new steering shaft. The first 2 appointments they would have it in their shop for 10 minutes and come back out and say "we think we fixed it". I had to contact GM and inquire about any known problems and that's when I found out the steering shaft had a known problem and had to tell the mechanics this since they couldn't figure it out themselves. Around the same time we noticed the steering issue, the transmission started skipping. This happens at least once a day, were at a stop sign/light and hit the gas to go and the car jerks forward. We have taken it to the JD Byrider shop several times for this and every time they just tell us "There's nothing we can do since the engine light isn't on" and claim to have hooked a machine to the engine and nothing appears to be wrong. If nothing was wrong, the car wouldn't be jerking! The beginning of April, our Service Traction Control, ABS and Trac Off lights all started randomly coming on while driving. We can hear the traction "activate" at random times and that's when the lights would all light up on the dash. Called to make an appointment because I don't want to take any chances with our brakes and they couldn't get us in until over a week later! When we took it in, they said "oh, there was some water up in there and we cleared it out, that should take care of the problem". Well, guess what! It didn't. That same afternoon, the lights all came back on and have been off and on ever since. We should have listened when people told us to avoid this place because they sell lemons, but my sister in law had a good experience and we honestly didn't think we would run into all these problems. I am beyond fed up with the service we have received from this company and am extremely embarrassed to say we bought a car from them.
