I was really impressed with the great service at this store and the variety of shoe options.
The time came for new running shoes and I found out that the brand I've been purchasing discontinued my shoe. At square one I started exploring my local options. Then I remembered seeing this store last time I was at Settebello having dinner.
I ventured in on a weekday evening and found the store to be pretty busy for a small store. You wouldn't have known by the amazing service provided by the guy working. He was an amazing multi-tasker and was taking good care of everyone in the store at the same time.
Since I am a stickler for getting the right shoe for my feet I requested a gait analysis. I was happy to see that the treadmill for this is in a back corner of the store so it isn't awkward if other people are in the store.
Based on my analysis the associate made several shoe suggestions. The suggestions were among three different brands. I tried the suggested shoes on and in several sizes. I am typically quick with making choices in shopping, but I was really taking my time picking shoes since I am currently having an ankle issue. The associate was genuinely nice about it and reassured me that he wanted me to get the right shoe. He wasn't pushy in the least and was clearly knowledgeable about everything relating to running and shoes. He wasn't insulted in the least when I wanted to try something on against his advice, even commenting that personal preference in shoes is also a factor in choosing the right shoe.
Before coming in I assumed I'd be paying a premium for the shoes at a specialty store, but this really wasn't the case. The pricing was comparable to what I've paid at other stores, but other stores don't offer the same level of service. This will be my go to store the next time I'm due for new shoes.
