Progressive Fields just seems old and tired. Compared to other stadiums that I have visited, the field itself looks like it is need of some TLC. Just looking in the outfield, you can see patches of missing grass. Call me crazy, but there is something about a well kept diamond.
As for ticket price, these are some of the cheapest I have prices I've paid! Even the price of food and drinks was reasonably cheap compared to other MLB stadiums. One of the best deals I found at the stadium was paying for club level seats on the first baseline. The all you can eat/drink(soda only) was well worth it. It end up being only a few bucks more than purchasing a diamond or field box ticket and food.
I also loved how close the stadium was to the Rapid Line. It made for a convenient and safe ride back to the hotel after enjoying some drinks at the game. It was also a pleasant surprise to see that I could eat something other than popcorn at the game. They had a gluten free hot dog and fry meal. While it wasn't the greatest, at least there was another option.
