| - If you take away the sweet desserts and confections, this restaurant is sub-par, broken-down version of Cheesecake Factory. The atmosphere is similar to what you would find with its competitors (Cheesecake Factory and Grand Lux). It's a casual restaurant with flashy decor that makes you feel that you are at a slightly more luxurious dining establishment. Other than this, the menu is less to be desired.
(Note that If you sit on the patio, you face the Bellagio fountains. Note that I said "face" versus having a view of. The problem with is that the view is blocked by trees, a bus stop, etc.)
As for the menu, we ordered a number of things to share for the table. I always feel like it's the best way to sample a restaurant's menu. We had the:
- Fried Macaroni Cheese Pops: Probably the best thing I had that night. It's accompanied by a marinara sauce that is pretty legit. Without the sauce, I wouldn't have been impressed.
- Chicken Fingers: Overcooked and lacked much flavor. It reminded me of frozen chicken fingers you get from the grocery store.
- Bruschetta: No flavor or seasoning. It would have been delicious had there been salt and pepper, and less olive-oil on it.
- Grilled Mini-Burgers: Just your typical slider... nothing special about these. I would have rather had an In-N-Out burger.
- Ham & Cheese Crepes: Eh, nothing special here. Crepe was cold and didn't have much flavor either. It needed seasoning or a sauce at a minimum.
- Cookie Jar Sundae: Where were the cookies? There was more whipped cream than ice-cream as well. The presentation was nice but the dessert left little to satisfy/
The service was good and perhaps saved them an extra star on my overall rating. At $10 - $15 a dish, I expected the food to taste better than what I perceived to be microwaved frozen food. I wouldn't recommend coming here and will personally never go back myself.
