| - This is a decent Autozone. I usually just go here to take advantage of their free tool loaner program (you get your money back when you return them). I'm usually here to pick up a caliper tool whenever I do brakes. In general, their regular, non-sale prices are way too high, especially on things like motor oil. I'll just go across the street to Wallyworld to buy a 5 quart jug of Castrol GTX 5w20 for at least $5-$8 cheaper! When they have sales, they can be fairly competitive...right in line with Advance Auto Parts and O-O-O-O'Reilly's.
They also have the rewards program where you scan you card and you'll get a $20 store credit after you make 5 purchases of $20, so that's something. I used to buy my car parts at Autozone all the time, but that was before I found out about Advance's online ordering where you can always find coupon codes online to save a bunch of money and then just pick the parts up at the store or have it delivered. Aaaand then I discovered Rockauto.com. Check it out. That's all I'll say about that.
The store is a new(er) building, so it's nice and clean and the employees here do seem to be pretty friendly and helpful, but they do seem to be understaffed at times. The one thing that drives me crazy is how the driveway apron has a huge 2-3" saw-cut lip instead of...you know, a gradual sloped incline? So you have to go super slow when you pull in or out to prevent spinal damage...but I digress. Their parking lot is decent, but kinda on the small side.
As I mentioned, stop in for free tool rentals and maybe pick up some parts when there's a sale going on. Although I heard that Advance does tool rentals now too? I'll have to check that out.
