Al's gives great cuts. Almost always busy, the staff and owner Rob are consistently good--they're all capable of doing an excellent job, no matter who you get. They now have 4 chairs, though they're not all working all the time (Monday is busy, but Rob is off that day, for example.) Like an old-fashioned shop, there's a lot of chat and teasing that goes on. Rob knows many of his clients on a personal basis. No hard sell on salon style products, though they do have that stuff if you want it. They've outgrown their small space, but rumour has it that they're planning an expansion out the front.
