I feel bad - before I came over, I checked yelp and I saw this place was rated 2.5 stars so yes, my expectations and standards were low..really low.
When I walked in, the ladies in front were super nice. I told them I was not ready to buy anything but just wanting to try on dresses to see which types would look flattering for me on the big day (yes, i'm engaged! I am not trying to marry myself!)
They sent me to Jennica and she was so friendly and had me try on a few dresses. I think I found the dress and so she gave me her card with the sku/id #. There were no aggressive tactics to "say yes to the dress".
What was pretty uncomfortable was trying on dresses. Holy Hell... Here are my tips: If you plan on trying on dresses, wear a strapless bra and maybe some leggings. That way you don't feel too exposed when a lady you don't even know is practically buttoning up this bra corset, having you put up your arms (totally vulnerable) and sliding a dress on you. Totally awkward and uncomfortable!
Other than that, they all wished me well and told me to start looking for a dress well in advance of the wedding!
Update: the manager responded to my review which I thought was sweet so I wrote her back and asked a question. No response. Hmmm, I just gave you guys four stars and now I get ignored? Take it down to three... Even though I got ignored, I decided to get my dress at another David's Bridal and let's just say follow up customer service wasn't their strongest suit here either, but I still gave them my business and probably still will since I need to get a bridesmaid dress.
