  • It's time for an updated review of Spak Bros., since my reviews should probably update as often as their staff. On average, it's 3-stars. On some nights, it is easily 5-stars; other nights, it's insanely 2-stars. So I'll come somewhere in the middle. The thing about Spak Bros. is that when it's good - it's damned good. Especially for vegetarians and vegans; Spak has some of the best seitan in the area, whether you go with the wings, or the Pittsburgh Seitan Hoagie. They also offer dairy-free cheese; but the sauce and crust is so good there, that we sometimes opt just getting no cheese at all, and just a ton of veggies on a pizza. The possibilities are endless. However, there are also some nights when it's near impossible to place an order, even on the phone. And sometimes on those busy nights, when the wait time can be over 2 hours, things can still get overcooked and taste a little on the burnt side. We tend to be endlessly forgiving with Spak, because it's one of the only places to get vegan pizza, wings, hoagies, etc.; along with Jamaica's Finest Ginger Beer in the cooler. Though it can sometimes be frustrating just to place an order, it's still worth it, and we always come back for more.
