| - We bought a buy-one get-one-free coupon for a dinner cruise (regular price of $80, but purchased for $40). The coupon said it was subject to tax and service fees, but imagine my shock when I found out that the service fee on 2 tickets was $21.60! My total cost ended up being $61.60...not much of a bargain! We decided to go ahead with the cruise since we had already purchased the coupon.
Upon arriving at the ship, we were given a table number. When we arrived at the table, another couple was already seated there. After waiting nearly 10 minutes to resolve this issue, the crew found another table for us. The only problem was that the new table had no cups, menus, silverware, napkins, etc. The server pleasantly retrieved these items for us.
The food was good, but not exceptional. It consisted of cole slaw, small pieces of corn on the cob, baked beans, macaroni & cheese (that was very good), parsley potatoes, dinner rolls and butter, a chicken leg, BBQ ribs, and 2 varieties of cake. The ribs and chicken were quite meaty and tender. The only problem was that each guest only received one napkin! With corn on the cob, BBQ ribs, and chicken, I can't image needing only one napkin and no wet naps! When I asked the server for additional napkins, she promptly retrieved them. I noticed at least half of the other guests requested additional napkins, also.
The first part of the cruise was informative, with numerous sights and landmarks being pointed out. The remainder of the cruise consisted of music being played over the speakers. The crew was pleasant and accommodating.
