| - In response to the people asking why anyone would rate this place less than 5 stars... we don't all have the same taste, thats why.
I like Pane Bianco quite a bit, but I have to admit that I have only had one sandwich of the menu, and that is the Soppresata. The first few times I had it, it was covered in roasted red peppers, and oh so delicious. One day they started using carmelized onions, killed the sandwich, and that is why I stopped going. I like the concept, and I like the deal they have worked out with Lux next door which allows you to eat there as long as you buy something from them. They don't have to do that, so it's nice they do. I have always liked Chris, and praised his use of high quality ingredients, and his sandwich shop is no exception. Only thing I don't like is sitting on the side of Central Avenue listening to cars whistle by. I always wish they would move the patio dining to the other parking lot on the south side of the restaurant, and then use the current patio for more parking. At least this way you wouldn't have to listen to the cars as much. Don't think they own that lot though.
