  • Visited 5 Church for the first time with friends after Googling then Yelping for a spot that made artisan style cocktails with egg yolks. Yes I said egg yolks! . I like to think of myself as a Whiskey connoisseur and having just moved from NYC I've had it tons of ways and with an egg yolk was my favorite. This adds a smooth element that sits well with my palette so I recommend anyone who loves whiskey (Makers is my fav) to try it. Ok back to 5 Church! So I asked if they could make an herbal infused Whiskey with an egg yolk. They didn't have all the ingredients that I needed so we went with what they had. The cocktail was over powered by this liquid cilantro and rosemary I believe. They get an "E" for effort. Because we were there to drink so gave them a second chance and ordered a Makers on the rocks with an egg yolk which then tasted like dish water or what I assume it would taste like lol. Anyway, the Maine Lobster appetizer was great and my friend ordered a Gin Gimlet that was amazing. So to sum this up, crafted drinks bad and basic cocktails good lol. I'll come back to try their brunch.
