  • TWO STARS: The place was open on a statutory holiday and my shellac manicure was looking horrible so I decided to give this place a try. That was a mistake. First, I walked in to make an appointment but they have no one at their front desk. The two ladies doing nails looked at me as if I was lost. I asked to make an appointment to which they suggested I come back in two hours. When I returned, they were almost ready for my appointment. The process to remove my shellac was interesting. I was left with the cotton balls/aluminum foil while the manicurist ate her lunch in the back room. Then when she appeared with the last of her lunch, she washed her hands and retuned to me. The shellac did not remove with their Acetone so, instead, she filed off my shellac completely with a coarse file, damaging my nails in the process. Some of my nails were round, some were square, and some were jagged from not using a finer file. But then she started applying the shellac so I was very surprised. My shellac colour was beautiful but that's the only good part. When the manicurist was done with my one hand, she'd almost throw my hand back at me (this was my cue to put it in the dryer). I found the manicurists very unfriendly and did not want to have conversations with their customers. When I got a chance to look at my completed nails, there was a lot of the top coat that bled off my nail and onto my finger where it hardened. She was rushing to finish my nails because she had only allotted herself 30 minutes to do my shellac removal and manicure. The result looked quite bad but, for the price, I kept it on for two weeks. I will not be returning to Yeti Nails. I generally go to Comfort Nails on Queen Street and their service is 10x better for only $5 more.
