There's nothing horrible or offensive about this place, but I'll probably never go here again. And I would never recommend it to anyone when you have other similarly priced ayce sushi options all over Vegas. So that's why the rating is so low.
First, the service was great. Some of the best service I've had at an ayce place. They seemed happy to have us there, and were pretty attentive.
But good service can't overcome meh food. Their offerings generally reminded me of something I'd find at a cheaper traditional buffet where you grab your own food.
The only items that rose above that were the Hamachi kama (grilled? yellowtail collar), the salmon kama, and the green tea ice cream.
The house salad reminded me of the stuff you buy out of the bag at the grocery store. I can understand it if you don't think salad is a big deal but I literally can't think of an ayce place I've been to with salad that bad. The tonkatsu and soft shell crab were both dry and it was a chore to finish one small order. The short ribs were some of the worst I've had - chewy and overly sweet, reminiscent of jerky.
I tried the Harry potter, the sun of the beach, the double dragon roll, and one other I can't remember off the top of my head. The sauce overwhelmed to the point I couldn't really enjoy the other ingredients in the roll.
If you're on a sushi tour through Vegas, I'd recommend skipping this stop.
