| - My husband and I really used to love this place for a nearby, walking distance mini date night... but I feel the bar part of it has really gone downhill over the last year or 2. Yes, the atmosphere is great-- a dimly lit Irish Pub . The food I've had is decent too. The drinks on the other hand, are over priced and badly made . I should clarify that I'm not a huge drinker, just like to go out once in a while for a couple of drinks while shooting some pool or throwing some darts. But when you pay anywhere from $6-7 for a mix drink, and you can't even taste the alcohol, that is a rip off, pure and simple. And also, good luck getting a consistent price. I went there one night with a friend from out of town, and we had 3 drink each, the same drink every time. the first round was $13, the second round was $12 (hardly tasting the rum in either) , the next round was happy hour so it was a bit less, but then it tasted like pure mixer with literally 0 alcohol. And yes, we tipped well, regardless, so it shouldn't have been a retaliatory thing. We resolved that since we like the atmosphere and that it is nearby, we would just get beer from now on... Then they raised the price on draft beers too... I feel like they are relying on their well known name and loyalty from people who want a decent place to come to, but they'd probably get more quantity of business if they focused on quality. We definitely come here less often lately.
