  • i've been wandering into some bike shops to look for a new road bike. i walked in here and was greeted fairly quickly by a gentleman asking if i needed help. good start. i asked him, i'm looking for a new road bike, i'm just getting started. he leads me over to one rack of women's road bikes and picks out one for me, it's a given i need the smallest, and has me try it out. so i hop on with him holding it and am like.. ok this seems nice. but that was as good as it got. i was offered no explanations or advice on figuring out if the bike fit. no offer to take it on a spin. there other options were offered. i pointed to another bike and asked, how about that one? and all i got was, yeah the components on that one are better. i'm gonna chalk it up to i'm so pretty that he was left speechless. i dunno what else to say. i was looking to buy something, but the salesman didn't want to sell me on anything. great, thanks.
