  • These will be our last few weeks with Little Sunshine before the little one graduates to Kindergarten, and I must share what a lovely experience this has been since day 1. Tucked away in charming DC Ranch Market Street, steps away from my neighborhood supermarket, it was a convenient choice that turned into something very special. There is no shortage of private schools in N Scottsdale and, like many of them, LPS has adorable facilities, it's own learning philosophy (Reggio Emilia), and accompanying price point. Unlike other schools, tuition is last time any one asks for money ~ no activity fee, food fee, aftercare fee, extra classes, etc. That was refreshing. The weekly tuition covers care from 6AM to 6PM, fresh snacks and meals cooked on site. I like their little LuvNotes system, which keeps me up-to-date on the days activities and let's me see my munchkin's smiling face when I'm stuck at my desk. For a household with both parents working full time, this is all amazing. Two big thumbs up. But if a happy mom isn't enough, my girl is the best recommendation for LSP. She LOVES school, growing up surrounded by the engaged, articulate teachers oozing with affection, all bright young women. I honestly don't know what we will do without Miss Amanda, Miss Vanessa and Miss Jen (and so many others!) in our lives!
