With all of the emotion that goes with finding the right location and situation for a loved one when they need assisted care, I can't express what a relief it was to find D&L. My grandfather has been a resident there for a few months and he has a quality of life and care I didn't think was possible.
The D&L staff are caring, compassionate people who make (and bake!) great tasting and nutritious meals, they interact and talk (and sing!) to the residents, and keep a cheerful positive energy and attitude in the home.
And it feels like a home - even when I visit my grandfather. The residents have their private rooms, but are brought together for meals, watching television and interacting with one another as a family would in a home and when I visit, I am also treated like a family member.
I can't say enough good things about the quality of care - and caring - as well as the peace of mind I have in placing my family member at D&L and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for similar in the Phoenix area.
