| - On Black Thursday November 26th, 2015 my mother, a family member and I went to Wal-Mart for two specific purposes, to purchase a Minnie Mouse Toddler Bed Set for $99 and several DVDs. Earlier in the day my family member called the Walmart store in order to confirm that the store in question did indeed have the Minnie Mouse bed set. After hanging up, my family member informed us that the woman she had spoke with had been very short with her on the phone, by too her that everything into Walmart Black Friday paper would be I the store, she also told her the the toddler bed set would be in the infants section. Later in the day, we arrived at the store an hour earlier than when the sale was set to start. When We finally did find the area where the bed set was- well before for 6pm (which was not in the infants section) there was not a Minnie Mouse Toddler Bed Set at all, and upon further inquiry the store attendants informed us that if we didn't see a item they didn't have it.
This experience was very frustrating, especially because of the fact that for two days prior we had been trying to purchase the Minnie Mouse Toddler Bed Set online, only to be told to 'check with our local store'. While i the store we attempted to go onto Walmart.com but it seems the website crashed because the website would not allow us on. It tried using the app on my phone but discovered it said the item was out of stock.
After this frustrating experience we continued forward with our shopping and selected several DVDs for purchase. However this experience was also horrible because, unlike the years prior, Walmart seems to have abandoned its color colds pricing system for the DVDS. Each of the boxes holding DVDS (over 20 boxes) marked each colors as a different price- one box marked yellow as $1.96 while another said yellow was $6.96. Ater we finally understood how much each DVD was we waited line only to have several DVDs ring up for the wrong price. When we disputed that we proceeded to wait an obscene amount of time for a manager, then a longer amount of time for them to flip through the Black Friday ad, despite our objections that I could simply show them the boxes and DVDs clearly marked $3.96 instead of $7.96. After they finished looking through the ad I did show a Walmart employees the clearly marked box after which he instructed th cashier to override the price. However upon leaving the store, we noticed that the receipt showed that one DVD price hadn't been corrected but decided to leave rather than go and deal with Wal-Mart's horrible customer service again.
Altogether, it was a horrible experience for us this year
