Oh, Echo & Rig - how I love you.
What can I say? It was just that good. I must admit, I was a little thrown off in the beginning with the hanging cow head that was on display from the outside. You know, the little things that make you regret being a carnivore inside?
I dined here with my family of four for my mother's birthday dinner. Let me start off by saying that every employee we had the opportunity to interact with was beyond amazing. From the hostess at the front to the manager who personally wished my mom a happy birthday. Hugo was our server; and he was incredible!
Appetizers started out with the bone marrow carne asada and maryland lump crab cake. Let me tell you, that bone marrow was amazing; it made that hanging cow head a little less depressing. For our main course we were a little sad to hear that the restaurant was out of rib-eye cap. However, we opted for the family style tomahawk steak. Cooked to medium-rare perfection and served with house-made garlic chips & mushroom Rockefeller. The mushroom was not the greatest part of the meal, but eh whatever. It was served with all of the specialty sauces; some of which were not all that great. If you have to choose one - definitely take the brandied mushroom! Along with our main course, we opted for garlic mashed potatoes and a caesar salad. Both delicious, but lets be honest...how do you mess those up?
Following the main course, we shared a caramel turtle sundae. It was so yummy I almost cried. Seriously! I'm not really a sundae type of lady but I'll be back for that little guy again!
