| - Sadly disappointed
I have to admit one of the reasons I am disappointed is my fault however the reason for this review is because the service was very very uncomfortable.
I have gone by this place a few times and quickly ran in for a few goodies and sometimes the cupcakes are great and other times it is as if they had been sitting out all day in the sun.
The shop is adorably decorated and the selection is plenty (other then sometimes confusing as not many descriptions)
My problem is the service... the reason it was my fault today as we came in to order a smash cake for a 1 yr olds birthday a week in advance and they were unfortunately already fully booked and were not able to accommodate, no worries we can get one in time elsewhere but should have thought to go in sooner. That is where my fault ends...
recap to beginning of visit, the moment we walked in we were glared at and felt judged, we were in workout apparel and not to the nines but we felt like we were looked up and down as the gentleman that was behind the counter did not greet us, WE had to say hello first and he didn't even ask us what we needed or ask how we were or if he could help in any way, we had to ask if we could ask questions and if he could help us, his response was after looking around the store with "duh" in his eyes said ya...we showed him a picture of the cake we had in mind and he barely saying 5 words said they make something similar and quoted a price... great price and what we expected, we then asked about a full sheet cake for the party to accommodate around 50 people... he hummed and hoooed and said "that they could possibly do it for around 100 I guess", like he was doing a service, and giving us a huge discount...now we did not go in to get a deal or discount, full intentions of purchasing either a cake or cupcakes for the big day but after he treated us with no class I tried asking about getting enough cupcakes for such an event but my friend quickly gave me the look to just let it go and let's get out of here and go elsewhere. (You know he look)
He did not even try to sell us on another option or try to sell us a few cupcakes for the day as that was also what we had planned on doing for an afternoon delight.
He didn't even say thank you or please come again soon.
Any question I asked was quickly ignored and brushed off.
I inquired about some of the tastes and extravagant items but it was as if I was speaking another language.
We aren't strangers to spending for those we love, and pampering and celebrating in lavish ways... we just will not include Showboys in any of our future events (which include 2 weddings, bridal showers, 17 birthdays and extras galore within the year alone)
We really felt like we were trash and unworthy.
Very very disappointing.
Will not be returning nor recommending
