| - Having been on a "Museum Tour" of Europe, it's safe to say I have seen some incredible art houses; the Pergamon, the Louvre, and the Van Gogh Museum to name a few. That said, I am happy to add the CMA to the list.
Cleveland's museum houses works from many artists you may have heard of, like Degas, Monet, Van Gogh, Rodin, and so many others. There are also countless pieces from people for you to discover. I love seeing the pottery work in the Native American exhibit this time; last it was something entirely different. Also, although the museum'a permanent collection remains free to the public, they always seem to nab my money for the temporary exhibits.
My favorite part of the CMA is how it is designed and setup itself. One half is the original, stately looking building and the other half is modern and clean. My one negative was how unfriendly the staff seemed on my last visit; it was as though asking a question was a nuisance. I still enjoyed myself and found new gems.
