Over the past few years, I have come to enjoy and seek out the best in baked goods, regardless of where we are in the world. I'm used to waiting in long lines, and the whole experience feels quite impersonal. However, at the Early Baker, on my first visit, the owners (and pastry chef) greeted us. We had a butter croissant, almond croissant, spinach and cheese pastry, and a cream puff. They were some of the best we've ever had, rivaling the best in San Francisco and NYC. We can't wait to come back.
