It took me a number of years before I got this concept, but you get what you pay for. They're cheap and you get what you pay for. Without reliving months of tragedy, I took a pet here for a procedure, and things went wrong. Follow up after follow up, things went wrong. And more wrong... prescribed medication overdoses, incompetent medication choices, etc. Unfortunately, I made plans to eventually have my pet put to sleep because he had become so gravely ill. I ended up at another vet the last day I expected him to be with me when he nearly died, his body giving up. They saved him-- it took 3 days of intensive care but they saved him. I still hang my head in shame that I didn't buy my pet the best that money could but but it was all I could afford without blowing my emergency fund. Should have tapped into the emergency fund for better care because I exhaused it mopping up the mistakes made here. I won't go back.
