I've been lucky enough to visit Muddy Waters Oyster Bar a few times. I drive past it daily - and was - SO excited when I saw them remodeling and then saw "OYSTER BAR" in the name. YES! Finally!
I've tried so many things on the menu - Oysters (of course), Fried Green Tomatoes, Oysters Rockefeller, Deviled Eggs, hushpuppies, salmon "corndogs", beignets and so much other yumminess. Every time I visit - it seems like it gets better and better.
I've been lucky enough to do the "chefs Platter" - where you try 2 of every oyster available. I've found that I am an "east coast" oyster fan more so than a west coast. The next time I visited - knowing this - we were lucky to be there for happy hour. While you can try east coast ($1) and west coast ($2) you must order 6/type. So - naturally we got 6 of each.
They have a great drink selection as well. I ordered the "I mississippi you" just cause i liked the name - turns out it was a GREAT drink too! Has jalapeno in it - and was spicy perfection!
I recommend heading to Muddy Waters if you are a oyster fan. They have quite a bit on the menu if you aren't - but it's an oyster bar! That's what they are known for! Definitely a fantastic happy hour location!
