| - So as a healthcare traveler who lived here from November, 2015, to May, 2016, I thought I would take the time to write about my experiences here. My first day arrival I got there before Office hours ended, and had called to tell them I was driving and I would be cutting it close, but they had left.....so frustrating! So night at hotel, and next day moved into my tiny one bedroom on ground floor. I had NO designated parking space because the structure over it had broken, so the move in was annoying as I do it all myself. My company rents me TV, but none was there?! Turns out it was stolen before I arrived! No doors on lower kitchen and bathroom cabinets?! Felt very slummy and poor. Told it was not a handicap accessible place, so there goes my only acceptable reason why no lower cupboard doors.
Chain smoking neighbor above threw many of his butts in front of my door and patio, and the whole apartment reeked badly of cigarette smoke! Opened all doors and windows and turned on ceiling fan, and kept on going. My only night in that apartment was practically deadly because of the asthma attacks and severe allergic reactions I had to the cigarette smoke coming through the walls. I went to work sick, exhausted and stressed from no sleep and allergy meds, and failed a telemetry test I should have passed. Upset, called my company, who graciously housed me in hotel for a week until another apartment was found. I got 100% on the test the next day because I could breath and sleep finally!
This same property put me in a nicer two bedroom apartment facing the hot tub, and I will NEVER stay in an apartment again near a pool or hot tub, and if you value peace and quiet you should not either. Screaming kids during the day keeping this night shifter awake or couples having noisy sexy hot tub at 2 am all soured me on apartment living. Good things (kinda): water heater broke on Easter and the handyman immediately got me a new one installed and had a blower fan to dry the carpeting. But the dishwasher never was bolted in so had to hold it up to keep it from falling forward. So I have lived in Glendale, North Phoenix, and another place in Mesa, and this place was my biggest disappointment. Met a couple nice people, and grateful for the good air conditioning and very shady place. Old paint cans sat on my "deck" the entire time I was there, but it would not have been a place I would have enjoyed sitting anyway.
