I love this place & I don't even have a dog! This is a fun, upbeat atmosphere where you can enjoy happy dogs and their happy guardians. You can tell the owners are meticulous about cleanliness. I expected it to have some kind of odor between all the dogs and the typical "pub" smells - but this place smells, great, its super clean, the inside and outside grounds are well maintained.
I like that your dog has to be on a leash inside and they even have little leash holders under the bar! Outside in the backyard the dogs can run around and play. The owners are also mindful of "rude" dogs - LOL! While I was there I witnessed a woman who was asked (very kindly) to leave because her dog wouldn't stop barking. The dog also nipped at the bar tender. I felt the owner was put in a bad spot for having to do this, but as a customer, the constant barking was not enjoyable and the owner did a very good job, although the customer was rude. I also appreciate that the owners look out for everyone's safety, not just customers but all their 4 legged clients too.
There's a great little retail space filled with goodies for dogs and dog lovers.
I also love the food trucks. Being from LA I'm familiar with food trucks and know that they turn out tasty and even gourmet dishes. The food trucks provide variety and are a unique way to serve customers food without the added cost of a kitchen. I think the food trucks serve better food than many of the bars in the area.
I really love this place. The dog add such a fun element to the traditional bar scene. And if you don't have a dog, you can get your fill by hanging out here.
