Taste of Toronto is a "food festival" that requires to you pay a hefty entrance fee of approximately $24 for the privilege of walking around and for the privilege of paying for food that you can easily just eat at the respective restaurant. There were no deals and no discounts that came with the entrance fee. Not only do you get charged an entrance fee, but you also get dinged with a one-time $1 service fee to load a card to purchase tiny portions of food that cost on average $6 to $10 (or more). It's a complete rip-off and gimmick. I can get a nice 3-course lunch and dinner at a nice Toronto restaurant, like Mark McEwan's "Bymark", during Summer and Winterlicious for $18-$48. I can attend street food festivals, like Taste of the Danforth and Taste of Little Italy, for free!
Basically this is a gimmick and money-making scheme to prey on those who are from out of town. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody, unless you don't mind wasting your hard earned money.
P.S... who sets up their live music entertainment in front of the toilets?! #fail
