This is not a fancy gym, but it suits my needs: something close to home, reasonable fees, a good selection of weights and cardio equipment, and most importantly, a laid back, unpretentious and diverse environment. There's a good mix of men and women of all ages and all levels of fitness, from beginners to people who clearly take fitness extremely seriously, and unlike some other gyms most people seem to be more interested in working out than flirting with each other/looking at their muscles in the mirrors. (As a sidenote, the mirrors/lighting are pretty flattering!)
I was pretty annoyed when management reduced the hours to 12pm-10pm on weekdays and 9-5 on Saturdays (closed Sundays). The 24-hour pass is only something like $30 but it basically forces people who want to work out in the mornings to shell out the money in addition to the monthly membership fees. I also wish they'd reduce the air conditioning in the summer; sometimes it's blasting so much that it can be difficult to work up a sweat.
