| - A question has always popped my mind: How come celebrities, with their millions of dollars, are always 'papped' at seedy nail salons? I was always under the impression that the nicer joints and spas must be extremely pricey. Nailsense seems to be an anomaly in that respect, -the prices are fantastic.
Nailsense has an incredibly modern look and is not of the 'ladies who lunch' ambiance. Despite the location, it's very much a place one would expect a busy, interesting, cultured woman to pop-in, get their nails done while using free wifi, get an eyebrow shaping or a leg wax at their convenience.
I don't get professional mani/pedis done all that often(maybe a few times in the summer), but I do have more experience with salons for hair removal and brow shaping. Nailsense has to be the most efficient and well-managed salon by far. You can drop in, or make an appointment by phone or email, to which you'll get a prompt reply.
On my visit with fellow yelpers, I noticed their ample selection of nail polish colours from the get go. Their newest lines of OPI were placed on the front desk, and I picked up two colours from the 'Shrek' line that caught my eye immediately; Rumple's Wiggin'(lilac) for my fingers and What's With The Cattitude?(pale blue) for my toes. My mani/pedi-curist, Thuy, was most careful and attentive. She gave me a heavenly hand and leg massage which I wish was endless.
Everyone was so courteous and professional here, -I felt completely taken care of and at ease. There was no banter amongst the staff during the mani-pedis, just short whispers if a tool or polish was needed.
Is this the best nail salon in Toronto?
