| - One of the neatest, most eccentric lunch spots in downtown Pittsburgh goes to Bluebird Kitchen. With a solid lineup of sandwiches, and a fantastic array of daily sides to choose from, this restaurant strikes that perfect balance between a cool, light lunch on a humid summer day, to a warm and filling meal in the middle of winter.
To start off, the sandwiches are killer. From the somewhat healthy turkey to the not-at-all healthy cuban, each sandwich has its own personality, with its own bread, its own sauce, and of course, its own meat. Pair that with a side of brussels sprouts, wheatberry, quinoa, or farro, and you've got yourself a very satisfying meal.
But above all of that, I'm in love with the potato chips. Now, I don't know what they add to those potato chips, but I would not be surprised if there were cocaine, because these chips are addicting. So, on top of your sandwich, your healthy side, make sure to add some crack chips to balance out all that flavor.
Enjoy!
