I found a car at Avondale Mitsubishi on their web site and called to make sure it was still in inventory before driving 40 plus mile to the dealership. I was told that the vehicle was still available in inventory on the lot. I told the sales person that I would like to see the car and take it for a test drive. They asked me when I would be coming and I told them I would be there at 10:30 am. I was told I had an appointment with Michael to see the car. When I arrived I introduced myself to the sales person that greeted us and told them I had an appointment with Michael and was asked to have a seat while they found him. Michael is the "internet sales manager". Michael came out and introduced himself and passed us off immediately back to the sales person that greeted us and disappeared. I gave the inventory number of the car I was interested in to the sales guy and he asked if we needed any thing like water or a soda. I said no that we would like to see the car and take it for a test drive. He said he would be right back with the keys. We sat around for about 15 minutes as I watched the salesman frantically conversing with different people then he disappeared as well. I sat around for another 5 or 10 minutes then went to find Michael. As I was watching Michael question the same people I saw the salesman bring out a completely different car. Different model than I came to buy, and a base model at that. The car was filthy. I asked Michael what was going on and he told me the car I called on and drove 40 miles to see was sold at midnight the night before? I told him that was why I called and asked if it was still available, this morning, so I did not waist my time driving clear across town. His explanation for the confusion was that the car had been sold and was gone but the keys where still hanging on "the board" so the receptionist got it wrong. I'm thinking how did the people who bought it drive it away without the keys? Any way in my opinion Avondale Mitsubishi and Michael are dis-reputable and not to be trusted. Michael did offer to put gas in my car but I had just filled it up on my way to Avondale Mitsubishi so no room for more gas. I will not try to buy another vehicle from Avondale Mitsubishi nor would I ever recommend them to any friends or family members. by the way the vehicle is still on their web site seven hours later as available for purchase.
