  • Wow! Impressive facility! Great staff and volunteers! They recently opened and will be accepting families within the next week. The Ronald McDonald House provides a comfortable and supportive stay for out-of-town families with children battling an illness at the Children's Hospital. Capacity is 28 rooms. Each room has been donated by a family with ties to The Ronald McDonald House and each is decorated beautifully (some are suites)! They have a very cool "teen" room, meditation room, and play room/area for children. There's a lovely porch overlooking Morehead Street and a reflection water feature too. The shared spaces are well designed and offers a calm and relaxing environment. Thoughtful design was put into building this house. One thing, be careful if you are wearing heels, the floors (as beautiful as they are) are slick!!
