After looking for a new salon and reading Yelp reviews, I thought I'd give this place a try.
I know its supposedly a Japanese salon but I heard some people speaking Korean as well. Me, being neither, did have a little bit of a language barrier with the receptionist at the front when I told her I made an appointment at 4. I was seated quickly and was given a juice box which is pretty cute lol.
I didn't really know any of the stylists so I took the next one that was available. I didn't ask for her name but she was a slightly bigger girl. She's very gentle with my hair and doesn't yank it when brushing or cutting it with scissors. Too bad I couldn't develop a relationship or initiate a conversation with her with other stylists I've had in the past. She also styles your hair afterwards if you'd like it straight or curled!
Only con I would say is that this place is small! Located upstairs with the door right at the top of the stairs mean only one person can get in/out at the time and not fall down the stairs. Its also not the cleanest and prettiest salon but for $30 i'm not complaining.
Price wise, it's reasonable compared to other salons I know of - $30 for a womens cut and $35 for wash and cut. I left pretty sastified.
