I lost my Presto card and I had to purchase a new one. I paid the $6 fee to purchase the card and followed the instructions, given my the Presto rep, of registering the card first and than transferring over the money I had in my old card. Well, turns out that was the WRONG way of doing it. Now Presto is telling me I wasn't suppose to register the new card but was suppose to transfer the money. I have to buy a NEW card (pay another $6) and than transfer again. I don't think Presto is informed of the current state of the economy. I'm not rich, paying a total of $12 for two cards (one that I don't even need due to the misinformation by their representative) shows lack of capability (engineering disfunction) by MetroLinx.
