  • this will sound shocking, but i have never bought anything from mcewan's that was bad. the meats, breads, coffees, produce, pastries, groceries and prepared foods have always been fresh, delicious and top quality... exactly what you'd expect from mark mcewan. the prices aren't cheap, but considering their clientele and downtown rents, it's not unexpected either. the space is clean, bright and well-used. it's stocked with more things than i would've thought possible. unfortunately, service is sometimes snooty. that's a big no-no in my books and it's the lone reason why mcewan is a 4 instead of a 5.
