1 because Zero is not an option....
At first we had thought that we had found the ideal vet and kennel facilities, albeit that it is a bit of a drive from Henderson. We were quickly mistaken after our first vet visit and kennel stay, the 2nd and 3rd time were NOT a charm or a confident experience.
Dr McDermitt is wonderful, educated and passionate about his animals however outside of him the CONSISTENT operational disfunction and lack of professionalism that occurs at reception/check in and the kennel quickly diminishes any credibility and trust we had. From lack of communication about the appointment (both vet and kennel), the disregard for notated specific instructions (meds and feeding), excuses as to why and who didn't do what they should have to "I'm new and learning, I'm asking for the same information 4-6 times because I want to get this right" to the Kennel manager Gabby (no kidding) talking over you, making excuses and placing fault for everything that was an error or not done to advising us we should have read the boarding contract more carefully... Although this apparently justifies the reason why our dogs did not get their vitamins both times they've stayed even though I provided them and the instructions on the package each time AND gave verbal instructions at check in that we're "noted" and just so I am aware "going to be charged daily for administering."
All I can say is thank goodness that we had 3 separate conversations correcting that our 4.5 month old pup who was suppose to be getting neutered didn't come out with the dental cleaning and tooth extraction and that his 9 year old fur sister didn't have to do another walk of shame with a cone around her neck because she was neutered/spayed AGAIN!
