| - Overall, I was very impressed:
*Bread service- delicious mild herb crusty bread with a duo of herbed feta spread and sundried tomato butter. Not a huge herb fan, but this excellent.
*Prime Rib- My husband ordered it and it was cooked perfectly.
*BBQ salmon- I loved this dish. A little crispy and just the right amount of sauce. The server steered me away from the sole bc she said it wasn't very good, so I'm glad I took her advice. Loved it!
*Molten chocolate cake- I don't normally like this type of dessert, but the portion was so big, I shared my husband's. It was rich, but not obnoxiously sweet. Served with premium vanilla ice cream, tulle cookies, pistachios, and the most Delicious homemade whipped cream I've ever had.
The only downsides:
* Fleming's potatoes were a bit oily and didn't taste the jalapeƱo. Next time I'll try one of the mashed choices.
* One of my pet peeves is when a menu lists a ton of ingredients for an item, and it seems to be fully inclusive but it's not. This is the case with the house salad. The menu listed cranberries, tomatoes, croutons, etc. but not onions. I didn't think to ask bc the description seemed very comprehensive. Well, there were red onions all over the salad I had to pick off and some type of shallots or other similar onion relative chopped into small pieces that could not be separated. I can't eat onions, so I tasted the salad but couldn't eat it. The lemon vinaigrette dressing was excellent, though.
$ - We got two entrees, 2 salads, two side orders, one dessert, and 2 nonalcoholic beverages for $104. Not bad at all for the quality of food. We will definitely be back.
