| - This is the worst place to purchase an atv or have it serviced. It all started with a phone call to purchase an ATV that my husband wanted. There were a few extra items like a winch and snorkel kit that we wanted added to it. We explained that we wanted to pick it up on a Thursday before we were leaving to go camping. It was not to be a problem for any of this to happen and they had about 2 weeks before we were picking it up.
We received no phone call regarding the status of the ATV, which we should have known was an issue. We did tell them with the initial phone call that the ATV would be financed. They never asked for any information to get financing, down payment, or insurance.
My husband went to pick up the ATV and our introduction to Mosites began. The paperwork to purchase the ATV was not even filled out, which we figured was going to be the issue since they never asked us any questions.
The winch was ordered, however, they ordered the wrong one. How do you order the wrong winch to a brand new ATV when you are to be the expert on them. That in itself is ridculous.
My husband was there for about 8 hours that day to only learn that we wouldn't be able to get it until Saturday and that it still wouldn't have the winch put on it. I was asked to fax a copy of my license front and back to the salesman for financing. This is something that should have been asked for when we initially made the phone call.
We did pick it up Saturday, signed all the paperwork, and left in about 1.5 hours. We were told by the salesman that they would come pick up and return the machine to us to have the winch installed.
Just as a note we have now made 2 round trips out to this place which is about 45 minutes away.
My husband and I called them to have the winch put on, which meant they were to pick up the machine. We were told several times that we would receive a phone call back and that never happened. We ended up just taking the ATV out to the shop unannounced. We are in a pinch since we have already paid for the winch and they have it, otherwise we would have never went back to this place.
Once we arrived the salesman shot up out of his chair, which he was lounging in, and said don't worry we are going to deliver the ATV back to you. We were also getting the first 100 hour service done as well. This inlcudes an oil change and some other maintenance type work.
We told them they had about 2 weeks to service the machine before we needed to pick it back up. We called them after 10 days to see what the status of the machine was. I was told that we would receive a phone call back. Well I think everyone knows that we did not receive a phone call that evening. We had called around 3pm and they close at 7pm.
We received a phone call in the morning the day after, even before they opened. We were shocked to say the least. The told us they would deliver the bike on Thursday.
To live up to the one star rating they didn't deliver the ATV on Thursday nor did they call us to tell us it wouldn't be delivered. My husband called on Friday around 1pm to be put on hold to see where it the ATV was. He was told they could deliver it on Tuesday. My husband stated he would just come get it. They politely reminded him that they were only open until 5pm on Fridays. How nice of them!!
My husband showed up Saturday at Mosites, loaded the ATV and left. He went into the building and noone would wait on him.
Just when we thought this was all over with we received a phone call saying that we owed $414.16 for the bill. I was irate to say the least. I called back freaking out in a horrible fashion to be hung up on...fair. The woman on the other end didn't deserve it but I was angry. I called back to our sales guy and explained ot him that he needed to make the bill go away. He sent me to the general manager who did call me back in less than 2 hours. We went on and on about the issue, he explained that if I would have complained sooner I would have gotten more but since I was complaining now he would give me $100 in a refund.
FYI -
Camping day - 65 miles * 2 = 130 miles
Trip to drop off - 30 miles * 2 = 60 miles
Trip to pick up - 30 miles * 2 = 60 miles
Total miles 250 * .555 (IRS mileage rate) = $138.70
Therefore, $100 does not even cover our wear and tear and gas for our vehicle.
We will NEVER EVER EVER use this place again for anything. I would drive 100 miles out of my way before I even thought of going to them for anything again. The worst part is knowing that the worst salesman in the world made a commission on the ATV we bought. If I could give a place negative stars or no stars that is what I would give.
I am obviously not the only one that feels the way I do and I would be happy if they would credit the entire price of the ATV back but still wouldn't use them for anything again!
