My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. We sat at the bar right by the oyster station because we were an hour early for our reservation.
We started with the rosemary cornbread and a couple of east coast oysters. The cornbread was a 10/10, served warm with slabs of butter within. The oysters were good too - definitely fresh.
For our mains, we had the seafood gumbo and the oyster Po Boy. Both were decent but nothing the shout about. The Po Boy was a regular Sandwich with tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, mayo and oysters - there could have been more filling in the sandwich. The fries that came with it were way too salty - make sure you tell them less or no salt if you want to be able to finish them. The gumbo was decent with a decent amount of seafood, but not the best you will have, and the portion could have been slightly more generous for a main. The food didn't feel or taste like it was "made with love." Even the ambience and waitstaff were a little cold - not as friendly as I would have liked.
Overall, it was a decent experience, but the only thing we would go back for would be the cornbread and oysters. Service was quick. We were in and out in less than an hour.
