  • Beautiful grounds and hotel with excellent professional and cordial service from the underpaid staff. Housekeeping was of marginal quality with no attention to detail. Mildew in our room's shower was noted to the staff upon our arrival. Their assurances that it would be removed the following morning were of no avail. If one prefers very hard mattresses, then this hotel is for you. I would have been more comfortable sleeping on a desert plateau. Add-on daily resort fee of $29.00 is undeserved and unearned. Overnight vehicle valet fee of $27.00 is obscene. Food and beverage prices are extravagantly over-priced. With that being said, the management was kind enough to reduce our billing statement by approximately $200.00. We are seasoned and sophisticated travelers and do understand that large properties such as the Westin are difficult to maintain 24/7. However, we will not be returning to this hotel property during our next and frequent visits to Scottsdale. If the Westin Kierland is a valid example of the Westin brand, we would suggest that you look at a different branded hotel for your business or holiday lodging. Joel W.
