  • When I started going here, I was seeing Dr. Stevenson. He was a fantastic dentist. But he recently moved to the Scottsdale clinic, which is too far for me to travel. I was extremely disappointed that he relocated because I had so much confidence in him as a dentist and I liked him a lot. The front office staff and each of the hygienists that I have known here are amazing and do an incredible job. I've never had to wait in the waiting room for more than a minute or two. I was told that I would be seeing Dr. Walker from now on. My first experience with Dr. Walker was to have a crown put on a tooth that was cracked. It had been that way for a couple of years, and wasn't giving me any pain, but I was told that I needed to have a crown before the tooth broke in which case I would then need a root canal. Dr. Walker performed the procedure. My first impression was that she was a new dentist and inexperienced. During the entire procedure she carried on a conversation with the person assisting her in the procedure, like I wasn't even there. This not only seemed rude, but terribly unprofessional and not the patient care that I was accustomed to receiving at this clinic when Dr. Stevenson was there. I did give her the benefit of the doubt because, as I said, I thought she was new. I have had lots of dental work in my lifetime and I am not a wimp when it comes to experiencing dental work and I expect some discomfort, especially with something as intrusive as having a crown. But I have never experienced so much pain as I have with the crown. In spite of having a crown as a preventative measure to avoid a root canal, I ended up having to have a root canal anyway - after I got infection from the work done here. I will not return to this clinic. If Yelp would allow a zero star rating I would have provided that, but was forced to give one star. Please note also that Dr. Walker is not an ADA member, at least there is no mention of that on their website. She is unprofessional, unskilled. I regret that this low rating will reflect poorly on the front office staff and hygienists - they are great and professional, capable and nice.
