My fiance and I ventured to Pisces for the first during this year's restaurant week. We made reservations for Friday night at 730pm. When we arrived we had to wait at the bar for our table (which was a bit odd due to our aforementioned reservation). After 10 minutes or so, we were seated close to the sushi bar. I would have preferred dining in the more cozy alcoves, being out in the open (and in the middle of the restaurant) was a bit loud and quite cold (turn off the AC, it's not that warm out!)
We decided to go with the restaurant week menu and added a couple of other items as well. We both had a glass of chardonnay and shared a bottle of nigori sake. Both were very good and complimented our sushi. We also liked the fact that the wine was included in our $30 meal. We ordered the crab dumplings and nawaii rolls for appetizers, both were incredibly flavorful. We also boldly ordered the little miniature crabs (I can't remember their name) and both found them surprisingly good (with the perfect amount of salt). For our entrees, we decided to order two sushi rolls each and a couple of pieces of nigiri. The fish was fresh and I appreciated that none of the rolls were drenched in sauce (as so many of them seem to be, particularly from other establishments). We particularly enjoyed the Slammin' Salmon roll. It had the perfect amount of salmon and cream cheese.
In terms of service, it was fantastic. Our waitress was personable and checked in on us the perfect number of times. And even though the restaurant was pretty crowded, we didn't have to wait long for our food (always a plus!)
Overall we had a great experience and a fun date night. We will definitely be returning to Pisces in the future!
